Its now been revealed that the blue eyed boy Emraan Hashmi will play the lead role in the forthcoming film Rain. Soha Ali Khan will play his love interest. According to industry insiders, there are three obvious reasons for Emraan to be cast in this film. One, that his last film Jannat was a good hit . Two, the shot in which he kissed Dia Mirza with the rains falling in Tumsa Nahin Dekha created a sort of history. Three, he is after all the blue – eyed boy of the Bhatt camp.
Whether there will be kisses in the film Rain , no one knows. The film will be directed by Kunal Deshmukh and will involve a fair amount of special effects for recreating the flood scene.
Mahesh Bhatt himself had told me that he was going to make a film on the deluge of 26th July 7, 2008. he added that the film will have a romantic edge to it as he has portrayed a love-story that blooms amidst all the chaos during the floods. at that time just talks about the movie was going on. now things have begun to materialize.
Apparently with this film Emraan has raised his signing amount to rupees five Crore.
